Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to this website and to hair services booked through it. Sending a request means you accept them.

A request is not a booking

Sending a form, calling or texting starts a conversation — it does not reserve a stylist. Your appointment exists only once we have confirmed the date, time, location, service and price back to you, and any required deposit has been received. Until then nothing is held.

Prices

Prices shown on this website are starting prices. Your final price depends on the service, your hair, the location, the timing and how many stylists are needed, and is confirmed before your appointment. Additional services added on the day are charged at the rate quoted at the time.

Appointments before 8:00 AM and on holidays carry a $50 surcharge. Travel outside our standard service area may incur an additional travel fee, and parking, tolls and waiting time may be charged where they apply. Any such charge is confirmed with you before the booking, never added afterwards.

Same-day and urgent requests

Same-day requests are welcome and are confirmed based on stylist availability. We cannot guarantee that a stylist will be available at short notice, and nothing on this website should be read as such a guarantee. For the fastest answer, call or text 212-729-6420.

Deposits and cancellations

A deposit may be required to secure your appointment. The cancellation, rescheduling, lateness and refund terms that apply to your booking are provided to you before payment, and must be accepted before the booking is confirmed — you are never committed to anything before you have seen them.

Please give us as much notice as you can if your plans change. Late cancellations and no-shows mean a stylist has travelled and held time that cannot be filled, and may be charged.

Your location

We come to you, so the space needs to work for the service. Please make sure there is somewhere to sit, access to a power outlet, and access to water where the service needs it. For hotels, please make sure the front desk knows your stylist is expected. Let us know in advance about anything that affects access — a building sign-in, a service entrance, a lift that needs a key, or limited parking.

Stylists work in other people's homes and hotel rooms, and are entitled to a safe and respectful environment. A stylist may end an appointment where that is not the case, and the appointment may still be charged.

Lateness

Please be ready at your confirmed time. If you are running late we will do what we can, but the service may have to be shortened to protect the appointments that follow. If your stylist is delayed, we will tell you as soon as we know.

Your hair

Tell us honestly about your hair before your appointment — its condition, and any chemical service, color, relaxer, keratin treatment or extensions it has had. Some services cannot be performed safely on hair in certain conditions, and your stylist may decline or adapt a service on the day for that reason.

Hair services depend on the hair they are performed on, so no specific result can be promised in advance. If you are not happy with your service, tell us within seven days and we will do our best to put it right.

Photographs

A photo you upload with a request is used only to prepare for your service. We will not publish a photograph of you or your hair anywhere, including social media, without asking you first.

This website

We keep the content of this website accurate and up to date, but it is provided for information. Text, images and design on this website belong to YGallery and may not be copied or reused without permission. Links to other websites are offered for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the price paid for the service in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York County have jurisdiction over any dispute.
